No Cricut Required... (Or Copics)

Sometimes, when I just don't have the time to pull out the Cricut and take over the dining room table I just flop onto the floor with a cutting mat and an exacto knife.

Simple cards keep me sane. I don't always know what will happen, it's usually a square something or other.

So, without further ado, I give you... a simple card. No Cricut required.

Just a simple little thank you card, as I said. It may have taken me 15 minutes to put it all together and cut it with the exacto knife.

I would give you exact measurements but there aren't any really. Just whatever looked right square/rectangle wise.

I also cannot remember where the heck I found this kitty picture to color. I remember it was labeled freebie.

No Copics or fancy markers were used. Just simple ol' Crayola Colored Pencils. 25 pack from Wal-Mart or somewhere.

I DID blend it with odorless mineral spirits. But, I hear that baby oil works just as well.

The stamp sentiment is from Michael's. One of those dollar ones.

Simple can be cute, right?

I Have... (MOJO207)

...no clue what I'm doing. No, really. I didn't mean to start beading on my 30th birthday. I didn't mean to buy a Cricut Expression at Christmas time that same year. I didn't mean to start knitting and sewing this past year, nor did I mean to start submitting an entry to a blog owned by someone else.

But here I am. Unintentionally starting a blog. Not meaning to make a first post. Nope.

So, this is my accidental card tonight.

I think I am supposed to list what I used? HA! Uhm...
Lessee...
Colorbok Spring Morning Pattern Pack
White cardstock
Studio G Sentiment Stamp thing"Thinking of you... YOU"
Studio G Square little ink thing in... green. It's just green. I don't see an actual color listed anywhere.
And some dollar ribbon from the bargain bin at Wal-Mart. It was also green. And still is.
And 1 base card thingie that I picked up. Feel free to fill me in on the technical terms ^.^

I have no idea what I did. I started roaming around for some free SVGs. I wound up at http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/ and looked through a few of her layouts. This one is for the September 19th, 2011 sketch. It is my very first time ever following someone else's layout.

It's also my first time using the ATG thingie. (Thingie = Technical term for all things)

Because I've never done this before... the first thing I did was download the image of the sketch, and promptly crop out exactly the sizes of cuts I would need proportionally. Because I don't have a feel for how to use someone else's layouts just yet. Maybe once I get the swing of this... I will.

This blog may or may not change your life. (Probably not though) It may or may not cause you to venture off into the blogisphere of crafts.... (Probably so once I get people linked in the sidebar...)

I'm not so good at goodbyes, so I usually end quite abrupt...OH SHINY!
